Drew Gordon, the older brother of Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon, has died in a car accident in Portland, Oregon, his agent Calvin Andrews confirmed to ESPN late Tuesday.

Gordon, 33, played two seasons in the NBA G League and four years of professional basketball overseas. He played collegiately at UCLA and New Mexico.

"He was an amazing young man, a great basketball player, and an even better brother," Andrews said. "This is a devastating loss for his family and friends."

Gordon was a standout at Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, California, where he led the Monarchs to a state championship in 2008. He was a McDonald's All-American and the No. 11 overall recruit in the nation that year.

Gordon played two seasons at UCLA before transferring to New Mexico. He averaged 10.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game in his two seasons with the Lobos.

After going undrafted in the 2012 NBA draft, Gordon played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce and Reno Bighorns in the NBA G League. He also played professionally in China, Italy, Russia, and Turkey.

Gordon is survived by his parents, Ed and Shelly, and his younger brother, Aaron.
